A Reminder I Needed

I had a really good weekend.

I attended the No Other Name Women’s Conference, "Priceless" and I came home feeling refreshed, renewed, and reminded of something I already knew—but clearly needed to hear again:

Turn it over to God. He will work it out.

I wish I could tell you that once I pray about something, I never worry about it again. But that would not be honest.

Sometimes I pray, give it to God, and then pick it right back up. I start thinking about what might happen, what I should do, and how I can make everything work out.

The reminder I needed was that God does not want me consumed by worry. He loves me. He cares about what concerns me, and I do not have to carry everything alone.

That does not mean the situation is unimportant. It does not mean I should ignore my responsibilities or pretend everything is fine.

It simply means everything is not mine to carry.

Some things require action. Some things require patience. Some things require prayer. And some things require me to step back and trust God to do what I cannot do.

I came home feeling lighter.

Not because I stopped caring, but because I was reminded that I can care deeply without allowing worry to consume me.

I can do what I can and release what I cannot control.

I can take the next step without knowing every step that follows.

I can trust that God is working, even when I cannot see everything He is doing.

And He wants the same for you.

You do not have to solve tomorrow’s problems today. You do not have to keep replaying every possible outcome in your mind. You do not have to carry everything by yourself while convincing everyone around you that you are fine.

Sometimes we need someone to remind us:

Take a breath.

Do what you can.

Give yourself grace for what you cannot do today.

Then trust God with the rest.

Letting go is not always a one-time decision. Sometimes we have to release the same concern more than once. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves every day that we already placed it in God’s hands.

If you find yourself picking it back up, do not judge yourself.

Pause.

Pray again.

Release it again.

And keep moving forward.

You do not have to carry it all.

Around the Table

What have you been carrying that you may need to turn over to God?

A Thought to Purpose Challenge

Take a few quiet moments this week and think about one concern that has been occupying too much of your heart and mind.

Ask yourself:

What part of this can I address, and what part do I need to release?

Take the step that belongs to you. Then give yourself permission to trust God with the rest.

Until next Tuesday…

Keep creating. Keep believing. Keep living with purpose.
